Withdrawal policy

This policy explains how withdrawals from Cerfina accounts work: the methods available, how long each takes, what checks apply before funds are released, and the situations in which a withdrawal can be delayed or declined. By requesting a withdrawal you accept the terms set out below.

1. Introduction

Withdrawals are how your money comes home, so we treat them as the most important transaction on the platform. The policy exists to make the process predictable: you should know before you request a withdrawal how long it will take, what it costs and what verification may apply. It applies to every account and every withdrawal method uniformly.

2. Available withdrawal methods

Five methods are supported. UK bank transfer via Faster Payments, for withdrawals to a UK bank account in your own name, processed within 1 to 3 business days. Visa and Mastercard debit or credit cards, where withdrawals are returned to the card used for depositing, taking 1 to 5 business days depending on the issuing bank. PayPal, for withdrawals to the PayPal account used for depositing, usually within 24 hours. Skrill, for withdrawals to the Skrill account used for depositing, also usually within 24 hours.

The full comparison table with fees and processing times is on the Deposit and Withdrawal Methods page, and the same figures are used here. If a method becomes temporarily unavailable we will announce it in the dashboard rather than leave requests queued silently.

3. Processing times

Each withdrawal passes through three stages: your request, our internal review and release to the payment provider. The internal review normally completes within hours during support hours, and the published processing time for each method starts from release. Card withdrawals depend on your bank's own schedules, which is why the window for them is wider.

Requests submitted late on Friday or over the weekend enter review from the start of the next business day. Public holidays in the United Kingdom extend business-day timelines accordingly, and a calendar of expected delays appears in the dashboard during holiday periods.

4. Fees and charges

Cerfina charges no fee for standard withdrawals by any supported method. Costs that can arise are external and disclosed before you confirm a request: payment providers may apply their own receiving or conversion charges, and withdrawals in a currency other than pounds may involve conversion at rates set by the provider rather than by us. The exact amount you will receive, net of anything we control, is shown on the confirmation screen before a request is final.

If an external provider later reverses or adjusts a payment, we will tell you what happened and provide the provider's reference so you can follow it up with them directly where appropriate.

5. Limits

The minimum withdrawal per request is the equivalent of £20, an amount chosen to keep payment overheads proportionate. There is no maximum, though very large requests may take additional review time and, for card returns, may be split across several transactions to respect card scheme rules. Daily and weekly aggregate limits are shown in the withdrawal screen for your account tier.

Withdrawals can only be made to destinations in your own name. Requests to third-party accounts, shared wallets or accounts whose name does not match your verified identity are declined as a matter of policy, without exception.

6. Verification checks

Every withdrawal is checked against your verified identity and, where applicable, your source-of-funds record. First withdrawals, and withdrawals that are unusually large relative to your history, attract enhanced review, which can include a request for a fresh address document or evidence of the origin of the funds being withdrawn.

These checks are a legal requirement under applicable UK anti-money-laundering rules, not a judgement about you. The AML and KYC page explains the framework in full, including what documents may be requested and how quickly checks are normally completed.

7. Delays and refusals

A withdrawal can be delayed or declined for specific reasons: a mismatch between the withdrawal destination and your verified identity; incomplete or expired verification; an open compliance review on the account; a suspicion, which we may be legally prevented from describing in detail, requiring further investigation; or a technical fault at the payment provider.

Whenever a withdrawal is held, you receive a notification stating that the request is paused and, as far as the law allows, the category of reason. A withdrawal that is declined outright is always explained in writing, and you can challenge the decision through the Complaints procedure.

8. Your responsibilities

The accuracy of the destination details you enter is your responsibility: account numbers, sort codes and wallet identifiers are confirmed back to you on screen before submission. Funds sent to details you entered incorrectly can be difficult or impossible to recover once released, and recovery attempts may incur costs passed on by the receiving institution.

Keep your registered details current, particularly your phone number and email, because those channels carry the confirmations that protect your withdrawals. If your circumstances change, tell us before your next request rather than after.

9. Cancelling or changing a request

While a withdrawal request is still in internal review, you can cancel it yourself from the dashboard and the funds return to your trading balance immediately. Once a request has been released to the payment provider it can no longer be modified by us, though a bank may return a payment in rare cases such as closed accounts.

To change the amount, cancel the open request and submit a new one; there is no fee for doing so and no limit on how often. If a card return has already been sent and you need it stopped, contact your bank directly, as the transaction is in their systems from release onwards.

10. Support

Questions about a specific withdrawal should go to [email protected] with the withdrawal reference from your dashboard. First responses go out within one working hour during support hours, and a team member can trace any request through each stage of the pipeline and tell you exactly where it sits.

If a withdrawal has passed its published window, tell us: late payments are escalated the same day, and the escalation path ends with the payments provider rather than a generic inbox.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in payment methods, external provider terms or legal requirements. The current version is always the one published on this page, material changes are announced in the dashboard at least fourteen days before they take effect, and the revision date below the policy text updates whenever it changes. Continuing to request withdrawals after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
